External
Lift Work
A
creative solution to limited access sites
The most common uses
we encounter are installation and removal of A/C and heating units, communications
equipment, and anything that might need to be installed on a roof.
Here is what you need
to know about external lift work:
- The
weight limit for external lift work in our helicopters is 1000 lbs.
and this absolute capacity decreases in high density altitudes and high
temperatures
- FAA
regulations require that the work be done in an area clear of people
— you need to be able to clear an area and control that area for
the duration of the work, in addition, the pilot needs a bit of space
to maneuver the aircraft, especially when the load is very heavy
- A
plan for the job must be filed with the local Flight Standards District
Office (FSDO) and be approved by them, this takes time, thus a lift
job should be planned at least 2-3 weeks in advance
Call for pricing,
as there different components of the job to consider. We can serve the
entire San Diego County area. While we file the lift plan with the FSDO,
the client must secure permission from the landowners and all appropriate
parties.
